1. General information
The main goal of this subject, taught in French, is to know the elements and models of curriculum design as well as and to know the official curriculum and understand the structure of the stages and levels of Primary Education. In addition, intends that the students know the specific competences of the foreign language (French) and know how to elaborate a didactic program of foreign language (French).
These approaches and goals are aligned with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations Agenda 2030 (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es), in such a way that the acquisition of the learning results of the subject provides training and competence to contribute to some extent to their achievement: Goal 4 (Objective 4.7) and Goal 5 (Objective 5.1).
2. Learning results
* Critically analyze the different models of Curriculum Design in Foreign Languages, basing their opinions on the study and reflection of current trends.
* Knows the current official curriculum of the foreign language subject (French) at the Primary Education stage.
* Demonstrates understanding of the psycholinguistic and pedagogical bases of the official curriculum in force in the Autonomous Community of Aragon at the Primary Education stage.
* Apply the knowledge obtained for the elaboration of an annual program of the subject of French in a level of Primary Education.
3. Syllabus
* La situation du FLE à l'école dans la Communauté Autonome d'Aragon.
* The curriculum and school programs.
* Curriculum development: definition and objectives.
* The importance of planning in the teaching-learning process.
* The different types of planning.
* The components of curriculum planning.
4. Academic activities
The program offered to the student to help him/her achieve the expected results comprises:
* Theoretical classes in which there will be a presentation of the theoretical foundations of the same by means of expositions and critical reading of scientific articles.
* Group activities that serve to identify the elements of the curriculum, objectives, competencies, methodology, activities and evaluation criteria and the coherence between them.
* Discussion seminars aimed primarily at developing critical analysis and evaluation skills of the curricula to be used as a reference.
* Individual work of curricular design of a foreign language subject (French).
5. Assessment system
First call:
a) Continuous assessment (regular attendance):
* Practical activities on the contents of the subject (individual/group) in the classroom sessions. 30%
* Elaboration of an annual program of the foreign language subject (French) for a Primary Education year.
40%
* Oral presentation of the didactic program in French. 30%
b) Global test:
* Written test on the contents of the subject. 50%
* Design, elaboration and oral presentation in French of an annual program of a foreign language subject (French) for a primary school course. 50%.
In the case of the second or subsequent call, the evaluation model will be the same as that of the global test of the first call.

Finally, it must be taken into account that the Regulations of the Norms of Coexistence of the University of Zaragoza will be applicable to the irregularities committed in the evaluation tests by means of academic fraud, as well as the application of article 30 of the Regulations of the Norms of Evaluation of Learning in relation to irregular practices other than academic fraud.
